UNESCO and Dior seek young women to change the world

2 February 2022

UNESCO Almaty invites young women from Central Asia to participate in Women@Dior mentoring programme.

UNESCO is partnering with Dior, in the framework of the Global Education Coalition and the Global Skills Academy and Gender Flagship, to run a mentoring programme for young women entitled Women@Dior.

The programme provides young women studying in tertiary education with education and mentoring on issues such as entrepreneurship and leadership. It offers an opportunity to learn what may not be taught elsewhere: self-confidence and taking ownership of one’s career destiny.

Since its launch in 2017, Women@Dior has supported over 1,500 Mentees in more than 58 countries globally.

UNESCO Almaty invites applications from young women from Central Asia who want to change the world. Participants will be selected based on Dior’s three key criteria:
  • Talent
  • Ambition
  • Generosity.

    All applicants must be:
  • young women
  • currently enrolled in a bachelor programme or tertiary-level technical/vocational course
  • fluent in English
  • have a reliable internet connection to participate in the online classes and discussions.

Interested candidates should submit the following documents in English to Benjamin NG at ic.ng@unesco.org by midnight (Almaty time) 8 February, 2022:
  • CV (including age, nationality, and information on university studies)
  • motivation letter

Further information on the programme, including the programme structure and testimonials from previous years’ mentees, can be found in the programme guide and on the website.
